Avalon House is an early residential project located in Avalon Beach, designed by Peter Stutchbury.

This project marked the first architecturally designed house delivered as a qualified carpenter, completed in collaboration with master carpenter Jeff Broadfield.

The build involved a high level of site carpentry, with close coordination between architect, builder and trades. The project highlights the importance of craftsmanship in delivering architectural work, with timber construction and detailing forming a central part of the outcome.

Beyond the physical build, the project represents an important early experience in working on architecturally led residential construction, demonstrating the value of collaboration and precision on site.

The result is a carefully crafted home, defined by its architectural intent and the quality of its execution.
