Project: Clovelly House, 2025
Style: Beachside
Located in the sleepy beachside suburb of Clovelly, near the border of Coogee, this house was last renovated 20 years ago and needed some modernisation to suit the new owner’s needs.
With family visiting regularly from overseas, a priority for the owners was to upgrade the existing, damp granny flat into somewhere the parents and family could stay comfortably. New windows were installed to maximise the view and allow light and ventilation to flood through the once dark space.
A steep site and narrow street access made this job challenging, but we were always up to the task.
Features of the renovation include Vitrocsa windows to the ground floor living area, swimming pool relocated to accommodate young children, landscaping to the rear and courtyard to maximise an indoor/outdoor lifestyle. We also renovated the bathrooms to the main living area and created a new bin storage area to maximise garage space and allow easier access to the home.
New joinery throughout the ground floor made way for a seamless kitchen, entertaining and living environment. New doors and windows to the garden and pool area has given the feel of a true beach resort. As soon as you open the door to this house, you feel like you are walking into a 5 star luxury villa.
