Coogee House is a new build that replaces an existing single-storey dwelling on a small, narrow block. The project transforms the site into a four-bedroom, two-storey home designed to maximise space, light and functionality.
The design focuses on creating a bright and open living environment, using extensive glazing to bring natural light deep into the home. Cross-flow ventilation is incorporated throughout, allowing the house to remain comfortable without the need for air conditioning.
Despite the constrained site, the project achieves a sense of scale and openness through careful planning and a high level of detailing. The result is a contemporary family home defined by clarity, light and a considered approach to environmental performance.
